Travel Alert: Road Closures Sat. July 11, 5pm-8pm

On Saturday, July 11th, Main Street in Bay Shore will remain closed from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a Fire Department parade in honor of their racing team's 100th year of competing. You can access more information on their Facebook page, linked here.

What this means for travelers:

• Service: Ferries will be running as scheduled.
• Traffic: While the town has plans to allow traffic through at 4th Ave x Main Street, we do not recommend relying on this route as access will be intermittent, at best. Plan ahead and expect delays. The ferries will continue to run as scheduled.
• Access: Due to Main Street closure, access to/from Maple Avenue or Clinton Avenue will be limited. We strongly recommend avoiding car travel to/from the Maple Avenue or Clinton Ave terminals from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you are planning to travel during this time, then we recommend booking an uber/taxi to 4th x Main Street and walking to/from the terminal from there.
